Allegro's annual year-end Recital IS THE HIGHLIGHT OF THE SEASON!
Dance Extraordinaire is Allegro's annual year-end Recital. The students work very hard and there is plenty of excitement leading up to the event!
Every class at Allegro Performing Arts Centre participates in the annual Recital, and dances are rehearsed at regular class times (note: some adult classes opt not to participate).
Allegro cannot be held responsible for supervising students before, in-between or after the Dress Rehearsals and Recitals.

The Allegro Recitals will be held on Saturday, June 7 & Sunday, June 8 at the Royal Theatre - 4 shows, each show is different! Please make sure you read this entire page to be fully informed about our exciting Recitals.
Step 1! Scroll down to “Schedules & Requirements” and find your Recital #! Scroll the schedule until you find your weekly class day/time/genre. Dancers are required to arrive 1 hour before show time.
Step 2! Once you know your Recital # (#1, 2, 3 or 4), please look under ‘Schedules & Requirements’ for your assigned Dress Rehearsal time slot. Please arrive at the Royal Theatre 30 minutes before your scheduled rehearsal time
Although unlikely, the show schedule is subject to change! The shows will be final by the time tickets go on sale, but it is up to each family to check the schedule once more before tickets go on sale to be sure.
Please mark the required dates and times on your calendar, the dancers have worked so hard all year for this grand finale!
If you are only in one dance, you will perform in 1 Recital.
Families with more than one dance or more than 1 dancer should expect to perform in more than 1 Recital. We have many families with multiple dancers in a span of over 100 classes - unfortunately it is next to impossible to group every family member together, and almost equally impossible to have every individual dancer have all of their dances together.
Competition, Crew & PYP Company dancers: Please carefully scroll all 4 Recitals, as some of your dances perform more than once.
Tickets:
Tickets for Allegro’s Dance Extraordinaire (Recitals) will be going on sale on Wednesday, May 14 at 10:00 am through the Royal/McPherson Box Office!
The box office opens at 10:00 am for in person, online and reservations by phone.
Ticket price - $26.75 (the box office adds a $5.00 service fee per ticket) - total - $31.75/ticket
$3.00 discount for Seniors & children
It is most economical to purchase your tickets in person, 2nd is online, 3rd is by phone. The Royal/McPherson adds a further service charge for phone & online orders (higher charge for phone orders than online). No additional service fee for tickets purchased in person.
FOR ONLINE ORDERS - ‘SELECT YOUR SEATS’ WILL BE TURNED OFF AT FIRST. This is a Royal Theatre policy - being able to select your seats at the time that tickets go on sale online causes a backlog. This feature will be turned back on after the first few hours of ticket sales. If you would like to select your seats, please purchase by phone or in person, or wait a few hours before purchasing online.
There is no ticket limit this year for families, as we are at a larger theatre now with a much higher audience capacity. Having said that, it’s still possible to sell out, so we highly recommend purchasing your tickets soon after they go on sale.
We encourage students who are in only one half of the show to watch the half of the show they are not performing in. This is fun and inspiring for the students and we are so excited to offer this again after being so limited with our audience seating in the past few years.
All dancers that will be sitting in the audience will need to purchase a ticket.
Families are encouraged to have their dancer watch the half of the show they aren’t performing in.
